Run for Ukraine with Polish Run
Runners do not stand still - especially when innocent people are being hurt. We decided to enable all interested to support those in need in Ukraine during the competition. On the day of the competition, the volunteers of the Help Centre Belgium will appear in a red tent with a "virtual can", where it will be possible to make a donation or make a paymend by card for the humanitarian aid they provide. It is not only about the amount of money collected, but also symbolic support - let's show that we are with our neighbors!
Help Center Belgium a.s.b.l. is an association founded by Poles in Belgium. It deals mainly with supporting the society in crisis situations and providing aid.
From the very first day of the war in Ukraine, Help Center Belgium organized collections of the most necessary things in cooperation with organizations from Poland.
The aid delivered to this day exceeds 300 tons, including medicines, hygiene products and food.
For two months now, the association has been focusing on buying, at a negotiated price, things that cannot be collected from donors. It is mainly drugs and medical materials.
On July 10, the Help Center Belgium purchased 1,240 blood bags for the collected money, which will soon be delivered to the municipal hospital in Lviv through the Zustricz Foundation in Krakow.
The organization can now be supported in further purchases of the most necessary things for Ukraine by money transfer to the account: BE47 0689 3791 7780 with the note "Medical Support Ukraine".
The organization verifies the needs on an ongoing basis, therefore the purpose for which the collected amount will be allocated will be announced at the event.
