PKO Bialystok Half Marathon

In 2019, the seventh edition of the half marathon will take place. This is the largest and the best run of the Foundation.

With great joy, we can announce that PKO Bialystok Half Marathon was chosen, with the votes of runners-readers of MaratonyPolskie.pl, the Best Half Marathon in Poland, in the category of large marathons (over 1000 participants). As if that was not enough, PKO Bialystok Half Marathon was recognized as the best run organized in cities with over 100,000 inhabitants.

It is worth mentioning that the PKO Bialystok Half Marathon has already been recognized by the European Athletics Federation, which awarded us with a five-star certificate for the highest organizational level of the race.

PKO Bialystok Half Marathon is, apart from the main race on the distance of 21,097 km, a run on the distance of 5 km - City Run 5k and runs for children - Junior City Run on distances from 100m to 1 km.

This is definitely the biggest running event in eastern Poland, for which you are cordially invited!

Electrum Ekiden - a marathon relay race

The word ekiden comes from Japanese (ekiden-kyōsō) and means a long-distance relay race.

The marathon relay in Bialystok is developing very dynamically. In the first edition, in 2015, 139 teams participated in the competition (834 people), in 2016 there were 181 teams (1086 people), and in 2017 we reached the level of 200 teams and 100 children teams in the first time ever Electrum Ekiden Mini.

The heart of the competition is the athletics stadium of the Białystok Sports and Recreation Center. A change zone is located on the stadium's treadmill, in which the players pass on their sticks to the next changes.

Electrum Ekiden creates a unique atmosphere of building the spirit of the team. Many company teams take part in the competition, in which the president or the director with his employees frequently takes part. It often happens that the company exhibits several teams and it is actually an opportunity for a "company meeting".

TOP AUTO Białystok Bieg

The oldest run of the Bialystok Biega Foundation, from which everything began. TOP AUTO Bialystok Bieg is two distances to choose from 5 km and 10 km. Both distances are certified by the Polish Athletics Association. The route is always run by the city center. It is worth noting that the 5 km run is taking place late in the evening on Saturday. After the "Night Five" on Sunday, the runners compete on the "Szybka Dycha" route.

The September running event is the perfect moment for a street run debut. Two distances allow you to choose the challenge to your current capabilities. Many runners started their adventure race just from Top Auto Białystok Biega, first at 5 km, then 10 km. In spring, they can take part in the PKO Bialystok Half Marathon, and then encourage others to participate in the marathon relay and be active all year long.

As part of the event, on Saturday, there are runs for children - Homeschool Run at distances of 100 m, 600 m and 1 km. Distance depends on the participant's age. For the little ones, it's supposed to be fun, so we do not measure time. Each of the children receives a well-deserved medal at the finish line. The joy of several hundred small runners is priceless!

HERO RUN - extreme run with obstacles

HERO RUN is the first cycle of extreme racing with obstacles in Podlaskie. After a very good reception of the first edition of HERO RUN in Ogrodniczka near Białystok in 2016, we gave the opportunity to participate in this amazing event for competitors at WOSiR Szelment near Suwałki and at the Municipal Stadium in Bialystok.

Running with obstacles is undoubtedly a challenge. Do not worry though that you will not be able to overcome any obstacle. Remember that you start with hundreds of other runners, and just a few minutes after the start you become a big family. You can be sure that many people will help you overcome more difficult obstacles.

Every event under the Hero Run brand is also run for children by Hero Run Kids! At the Municipal Stadium in Bialystok, over 400 youngsters took part! In 2018 we have prepared even more starting numbers for young players.
